Mission & scope

Aerospace Research Communications (ARC) is an open access, peer-reviewed international journal covering all aspects of aeronautics and astronautics. The journal publishes original papers and review articles related to all fields of aerospace research, in both theory and practice. The scope is considerably wide, covering research achievements in flight vehicles, propulsion systems, and experimental equipment, including fluid mechanics, flight mechanics, solid mechanics, vehicle conceptual design, avionics, control, material engineering and mechanical manufacturing.

Aerospace Research Communications is pleased to publish the Inaugural Issue of the journal. The e-Book is Open Access and freely downloadable.

Call for Editorial Board Members

Aerospace Research Communications is looking for new Associate Editors and Review Editors. If you are interested in joining the journal as an Associate Editor or a Review Editor please complete this form.

The role of Revew Editor is aimed at researchers at the start of their career looking to gain experience of peer review. The role of the Review Editor is to act as a reviewer for manuscripts submitted to the journal.

The role of Associate Editor is aimed at established researchers. The role of the Associate Editor is to support the strategic direction of the journal and where appropriate to act as a reviewer for manuscripts submitted to the journal.

Selection criteria

  • An active researcher with a PhD

  • Evidence of an active and relevant publication record for current career stage

  • Expertise in relevant subject areas within the scope of the journal

  • Experience of reviewing (desirable)

Key responsibilities

  • Reviewing manuscripts for the journal

  • Helping develop the journal including:

  • Suggesting Special Issues for the journal

  • Where relevant acting as a Guest Editor on a Special Issue

  • Assisting editorial team to identify papers for further promotion

The journal is supported by a professional editorial office staff that work to support all Editorial Board members in these activities.
