About this Special Issue

Submission deadlines

  1. Manuscript Submission Deadline 1 December 2026

Background

This Special Issue has been organised to showcase research presented at the 2026 CBS/CSPS/CC-CRS Conference held at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, June 2–5, 2026.

The conference spans a broad range of cutting-edge themes, including biomaterial design and characterisation, drug discovery and formulation, advanced drug delivery systems, nucleic acid therapeutics, nanomedicine, vaccines and immunotherapy, regenerative medicine, and AI/ML-enabled research and development. Sessions also address translation, clinical pathways, and regulatory perspectives, reflecting the full journey from laboratory discovery to patient impact.

Papers submitted to this Special Issue should be based on work presented at the conference and/or authored by 2026 CBS/CSPS/CC-CRS Conference attendees.

The goal of this issue is to capture the scientific insights and collaborative energy of the meeting and disseminate them widely to advance the fields of biomaterials and pharmaceutical sciences.

Please note that the manuscript submission deadline is flexible, if you require an extension or have any other question, do not hesitate to contact us at the Publishing Office.
