About this Special Issue
This Special Issue will publish high-quality scholarly review papers on key topics in abdominal wall and hernia surgery. It aims to highlight recent advances in the field, whilst emphasizing important directions and new possibilities for future inquiries. We anticipate this will promote discussion in the abdominal wall and hernia surgery community that will translate to best practice applications in clinical and health policy settings.
Acknowledging the reality of increasing use of Artificial Intelligence tools in various stages of research publication, we encourage the detailed disclosure in case such tools are used. At the same time we warn against extended use that would violate the COPE guidelines in use of Artificial Intelligence in medical writing.
The Current Reviews in Abdominal Wall Surgery collection welcomes full-length, mini or systematic review papers. New articles will be added to this collection as they are published.
