ABSTRACT=A cross-sectional analysis of person-reported outcomes in 15 islet transplant recipients with graft status classified according to Igls criteria was conducted to explore associations between transplant function and overall health status. Those with 'Good' graft function were more likely to experience symptoms during hypoglycaemia and those with 'Marginal' function reported severe diabetes-related distress, anxiety and depression. The biomedically-driven definition of 'Marginal' Igls function is clinically meaningful and justifies deeper assessment and additional intervention including retransplantation.
